Roller Blinds

Precision Mechanisms & Premium Hardware – Deluxe as Standard

The mechanism and hardware are fundamental to the quality, control, and smooth operation of any made‑to‑measure roller blind. Many bespoke roller blinds on the market still rely on exposed metal brackets, and in some cases even inferior plastic brackets similar to those used in off‑the‑shelf, ready‑made blinds.

For a truly bespoke roller blind, a metal bracket should be the absolute minimum expectation—anything less compromises durability, stability, and long‑term performance.

Our Modular Metal Bracket System

We go significantly further. Our premium metal bracket system is designed with a modular, universal format, making it fully compatible and upgradable across all of our roller blind concepts and variations.

Each system is supplied with colour‑matched vinyl screw covers and bracket caps that securely click into place, delivering a clean, seamless decorative finish to the chosen control mechanism and any modular blind configuration.

These features are not standard, and in many cases not even offered by our competitors. This is why we confidently describe our specification as “deluxe as standard.”

Stronger Tubes for Wider, Heavier Blinds

Our roller blinds are engineered around a 38mm diameter tube, rather than the common 32mm industry standard. While the difference may seem subtle, it delivers a substantial performance advantage.

The increased tube diameter allows for:

  • Wider roller blinds up to 3.1 metres
  • Improved support for heavier fabrics
  • Reduced ‘bounce’ and centre deflection
  • Smoother, more consistent blind movement

With smaller diameter tubes, blinds are far more likely to suffer from tube flex and fabric deviation—sometimes even on average window widths of 1.8m to 2.4m, depending on fabric weight.

Built for Performance, Designed to Last

Every component of our roller blind systems is selected to deliver strength, precision, and long‑term reliability—ensuring flawless operation and a refined finish, regardless of size or fabric choice.

That’s the difference between standard specification and true bespoke engineering.

Loop Chain Control

Sidewind chain is without doubt the standard nowadays, used by us all within the trade for made to measure roller blinds. What we have that is slightly different to the norm is a tiltable housing around the chain mechanism.

This tilting action means that the control lines up with the angle at which the chain is being used. Particularly efficient where obstacles or reach issues mean that the chain is being pulled at anything up to 90° to the plane of the window. Of course a child safety breakaway and/or a tensioning device is a legal requirement and so we will include both to ensure conformity.

Twin Pull Control

This is very much a game changer but at the same time aesthetically more appealing than the usual operating method of sidewind control.

Essentially we are replacing the normally looped chain with toggled chains, or alternatively wands as required, that are very easy to reach. This serves the child safety requirement because a ligature cannot occur naturally and therefore we do not require either a breakaway or the fixed and ever present cord tensioner on the side of the window recess. In fact the chain or wand options enhance the overall look and appearance as well as giving added practicality.

Twin Pull mechanism itself is geared and very fluid in operation, each single pull equals around 360mm of fabric travel and therefore less 'fiddly' than looped cord controls.
