Your Go-To Place For Made To Measure Window Blinds
Roller Blinds

Roller Blinds

Mechanism and hardware is the key to the quality of the roller blind control and movement. Generally the majority of made to measure roller blinds tend to have an exposed metal bracket sometimes we see inferior plastic brackets used similar to those seen in ready made roller blinds. Obviously we would always recommend that you ensure that the metal bracket is sought when it comes to application of a bespoke roller blind, that should be a minimum expectation.

Ourselves we have a metal bracket but with a modular outlook of being universal and upgradable to all of our roller concepts and variations. Included with the system bracket we have colour matched vinyl screw and bracket cover caps that firmly click into place. Seamlessly providing a decorative finish to the chosen control mechanism and available modular options of working blind. None of the features mentioned here are a default part or even offered by our competitors and this is what we confidently claim as our "deluxe as standard".

As for the tube we have a 38mm diameter as opposed to the 32mm industry go to. This subtle difference allows for wider roller blinds (up to 3.1metres) combined with heavier fabrics, anything less than this the blind is prone to have 'bounce' and deviation towards the centre of the tube even for average size windows of 1.8 to 2.4m depending on the weight of the fabric.

Loop Chain Control

Sidewind chain is without doubt the standard nowadays, used by us all within the trade for made to measure roller blinds. What we have that is slightly different to the norm is a tiltable housing around the chain mechanism.

This tilting action means that the control lines up with the angle at which the chain is being used. Particularly efficient where obstacles or reach issues mean that the chain is being pulled at anything up to 90° to the plane of the window. Of course a child safety breakaway and/or a tensioning device is a legal requirement and so we will include both to ensure conformity.

Twin Pull Control

This is very much a game changer but at the same time aesthetically more appealing than the usual operating method of sidewind control.

Essentially we are replacing the normally looped chain with toggled chains, or alternatively wands as required, that are very easy to reach. This serves the child safety requirement because a ligature cannot occur naturally and therefore we do not require either a breakaway or the fixed and ever present cord tensioner on the side of the window recess. In fact the chain or wand options enhance the overall look and appearance as well as giving added practicality.

Twin Pull mechanism itself is geared and very fluid in operation, each single pull equals around 360mm of fabric travel and therefore less 'fiddly' than looped cord controls.
