Measured In / Width / Drop - Which unit of measurement you favour is very much an individuals choice and how comfortable you are with reading them on a tape measure. Accuracy is key and for that millimetres are the recommended but one thing we would advise is always use a steel measure, never a seamstress/tailors tape as they are susceptible to stretch and shrinkage or therefore not suitable for our job in hand.

For the purpose of providing measurements for your blind the first consideration is whether or not the fitting will be inside the window recess or on the outside to cover the window reveal as a whole. Once fitting placement is decided it is recommended that three measurements are taken for width at top, middle and bottom then height at left, centre and right with the smallest result noted.

In the case of Inside Recess the finished blind fabric width will be around 35mm smaller overall than the size you declare, this includes a fitting tolerance that we make in production to account for brackets, controls and clearance. Fabric Width will be the finished fabric width then the 35mm of control hardware and bracket tolerance is extra to that. For Outside Recess you will ideally need to allow at least 50-75mm (2-3 inches) all around the perimeter of the window opening as an overlap to reduce light that would appear as the fabric hangs slightly away from the reveal.

System Colour
 - all hardware and accessories will include the colour chosen. This may be to coordinate with the window frame extrusion colour or to complement your interior design. This colour theme will reflect on bracket covers, control including Chain/Pull unless metal chain is opted for, plus instances where exposed metal lathe is chosen at the bottom finish.

When choosing the control side as part of the Control Choice the direction refers to which side you want the opted controller to appear as you are looking at the window internally. A standard sidewind will consist of a looped chain which must incorporate the child safety device and a breakaway link in the chain itself - this is a statutory legal requirement to prevent the risk of strangulation.

However we do have a clever device in the Twin Pull where it takes away the need for a tensioning cleat to be secured at the window sidewall. Instead the ligature effect is replaced by two single geared pulls that can either be ball chain operated (system colour plastic with a metal alternative) or a system coloured wand. Not only do we not require a tensioning cleat but also it provides a solution to windows that have reach issues. Customer feedback is extremely positive where this option is taken and adds to the overall aesthetics.

Loop Chain control will require a chain break and side tensioning cleat to satisfy the compulsory child safety requirements when fitting.

Whether the choice is plastic ball chain or, in the case of Twinpull, wand control the components will always be co-ordinated to the system colour originally chosen. Where metal chain is opted for then the toggle will be matched to the system colour.

One very important consideration which is generally overlooked is the question of Fabric Roll - the roller blind will be delivered obviously pre rolled, the consideration is do we roll the fabric to the back or from the front of the tube? Back roll is standard and the most favoured however in the case of blackout fabrics where we indicate that the backing is white rather than colour matched to the fabric face then we would recommend that 'front roll' is chosen, so as not to physical see the colour to white contrast within the room. Also sometimes your window reveal may be shallow and in order to avoid restrictions such as opening window handles, again front roll would be chosen in order for the fabric to pass in front of said protrusions. Then again, sometimes, it is simply down to personal choice and aesthetics.

Bottom Finish - When the choice is made for a system coloured lathe then both the metal bar and end caps are colour co-ordinated. If 'fabric covered' is chosen then the plastic lathe will be wrapped with the chosen roller blind fabric and the end caps will match the system colour.

Shipping is charged at £8.40 per delivery irrespective of the number of items belonging to the order. Regretfully we can only ship to UK mainland via one of our respected couriers working within specific tolerances, weight, quantity and parcel size, that determine which courier we can use. We do not have a courier to undertake long parcels with overseas distribution and therefore have to restrict our operating reach, unfortunately.
Despatch will be dictated by the individual item, with many products falling under our 48hr turnaround collections. Please note multi product orders will be despatched based on the longest lead time. We do not offer a split delivery on our orders. Blind types that do not qualify for fast turnaround will have an expected delivery time indicated on the website in terms of working days, this is an estimation and cannot be guaranteed as production flow does fluctuate at certain times of the year and during busy periods. Please be aware this is the estimated time to despatch and does not include the relevant delivery time. Bank holidays and weekends are not classed as 'working days'.
Upon despatch of your order, you will receive an email complete with your tracking details. Deliveries are generally made between the hours of 8am and 6pm (except Sunday), however deliveries outside these times can take place during busy periods. Deliveries require a signature. Should no one be available to accept the delivery, the courier will try a neighbour before returning your parcel to the local depot. Some couriers may also choose to leave your parcel in an appropriate spot, you should be 'carded' by the courier explaining where you parcel is. Should the first attempted delivery be unsuccessful, the courier should automatically come back the following working day and try again. If this second attempt is unsuccessful, the parcel will usually be held at the local depot awaiting further instruction.

Our standard Roller Blind will include a sidewinder that is chain driven. Plastic chain ball bearings will colour coordinate with the system colour chosen, metal pull chain is optionally available.

All looped chains will be accompanied with a cord tensioner to be fitted at the side of the window recess in order to comply with child safety laws. Part of the regulation also insists that a 'break away' device is incorporated in the chain loop so that the potential ligature breaks when weight is applied in order to prevent strangulation.

Twin Pull totally eliminates the need for a child safety chain tensioner to be fixed onto the wall, which is a legal requirement with all looped controls in order to reduce the risk of strangulation. It does cost a little bit more than the loop chain basic option. Instead of chain we can offer cord or wand pull that will be colour coordinated.

We find that as well as inherent child safety and ease of use Twin Pull creates an added aesthetic feature that makes a roller blind look less 'ready made' that you tend to feel with otherwise traditional systems.
